Where Winds Meet

Introduction

This guide covers the strategy for defeating the White Wolf boss, including its location and recommended tactics. The primary techniques demonstrated are the Nameless Sword Technique and the Tathagata Palm (Veda Formation Technique), but the fight is manageable without them.

Boss Location

  • The White Wolf no longer appears near Ruoshui or Buxianxian after the fire event.
  • New Location: You must travel to a cave near Yingchou Ridge, at the bottom of the map near Kaifeng City.
  • Important Condition: You must set the game time to night for the White Wolf to appear.

  • Equipment: Level 55 equipment is sufficient.
  • Key Techniques: The guide utilizes the Nameless Sword Technique and the Tathagata Palm (Veda Formation Technique).
  • Heart Method: Not a critical concern for this fight.

Phase 1: Initial Engagement

  1. The battle begins with the White Wolf jumping into a tree. Do not panic.
  2. Two small wolves will appear. Focus on the core mechanic: "Xie Shi" (depleting the boss's Qi).
  3. When the White Wolf jumps down from the tree, dodge to the side immediately.
  4. After dodging, rush in and attack. Consistently look for opportunities to deplete its Qi.

Core Combat Loop

The main strategy is aggressive and relies on Qi management.

  1. Fight Head-On: Do not be afraid. Engage the boss directly.
  2. Deplete Qi First: Use your "Xie Shi" (Qi-depleting) skills as a priority. Successfully depleting its Qi opens it up for major counter-attacks.
  3. Key Dodge: You must dodge the White Wolf's charging skill. Failing to dodge can allow it to unleash a powerful ultimate attack.
  4. Watch for Red Light: Pay close attention to its red light skills. These signal powerful area attacks and deceptive combos that require precise dodging.

Phase 2: Boss Frenzy & Advanced Tactics

  1. The boss may enter a frenzied state with more aggressive combos. Maintain calm and stick to the dodge-and-counter rhythm.
  2. If the White Wolf flies back into a tree, remain calm. It will come down again.
  3. Warning: Avoid using long skill animations (like the Tathagata Palm) to dodge attacks. This is very dangerous and was done in the demonstration for show.
  4. The rest of the fight is a repetition of the core loop: deplete Qi, dodge key skills (especially charges and red-light attacks), and counter-attack.
