Where Winds Meet

This guide will walk you through building an efficient "Poison Tower" for farming monsters and resources.

Initial Setup and Blockades

Before building the tower, you must block two key monster spawn points to trap them safely.

  1. Block the Main Entrance Gate: 00:07
    • Locate the main entrance gate where a monster patrols.
    • Use three wooden planks to completely block this doorway and trap the monster inside.

2. Block the Side Room Door: * Find the door leading out of a nearby room. * Leave enough space for three planks and block it off similarly. Use nearby wood for snapping if placement is difficult. * Ensure the monster inside is trapped.

Building the Main Tower Structure

With the monsters contained, you can begin constructing the farming tower.

  1. Enable Free Camera:
    • Click the free camera option in your interface to move the build camera freely. This is essential for precise construction.

2. Build the Foundation Near the Barrel: * Start building wooden planks close to the explosive barrel. Create a right-angle structure that touches the barrel.

3. Build the Tower Height: * From the bottom plank, count and build 22 planks upward to reach the desired height. * Repeat this process to build a second column of 22 planks a short distance away, creating two vertical supports.

4. Add Horizontal Platforms and Obstruction: * Place a horizontal plank at the halfway point (the "1.5 position") between your two columns to create a jumping platform. * Build a flat area here to make it easier to land on. * Create a visual obstruction wall (about three layers high) near the base of your approach path. This prevents monsters from seeing you and triggering an alarm sound.

Constructing the Landing Mechanism

This system ensures your character lands safely after using the riding skill.

  1. Build the "Horse-Stopping" Planks: 01:56
    • From your horizontal platform, count up 9 planks on your tower column. Place a plank at the "9 and a half" position.
    • Extend three planks outward from this point to create a small catching ledge.

2. Seal the Top and Create the Landing Funnel: * Cover the very top of your tower structure with stone roof pieces to prevent flying out. * From the top edge, extend three stone slabs outward. Then, enclose the sides to create a funnel pointing downward. * Extend this funnel downward by 3 slabs and create an open landing platform at the bottom. * Block off the sides of the landing platform for safety.

Testing and Fine-Tuning the Tower

The tower's function relies on precise distances. You must test and adjust.

  1. Basic Test Cycle: 03:14
    • Use the "Fire Burst" skill outside the tower to kill the trapped monsters.
    • Use the "Large Engineering" riding skill (Riding the Wind, second option) to fly to the top of the tower.
    • As you fly, move to hit the "horse-stopping" plank you built, causing your character to fall onto the landing platform below. Press Q to descend.

2. Summon the Looting Horse: * Crucial: You must have the "white-clothed" horse with the pick-up follow skill active. * Keep the horse close to where your Large Engineering skill takes off, as it calculates follow distance from that point. 03:26 * After landing, jump down and use Fire Burst again. The horse should automatically loot the drops.

3. Adjusting the Height: * Problem: Horse icon disappears (horse gets stuck/despawns). * Solution: The 22-plank height is fixed. If the horse despawns when you land, it means the horse is too far from your landing point. Lower your landing platform and funnel by half a grid. * If the horse despawns when you fly to the top, raise the platform by half a grid. * The goal is for your character to land on the platform while the horse remains close by with its icon visible.

Farming Routine and Tips

Once adjusted, your tower is ready for efficient farming.

  1. Farming Cycle: 05:17
    • Fly up with the Large Engineering skill, gently descend onto the platform.
    • Use Fire Burst to kill the four trapped monsters.
    • Wait for the horse to loot all items (watch the minimap).
    • Repeat. This cycle is faster than team co-op farming.
  2. Key Recommendations:
    • Riding Skill: Use the Deep Warm Fire Tiger for its HP regeneration, eliminating the need for potions or food.
    • Daily Limit: Farm until you stop picking up new "Tongbao" currency, indicating the daily drop limit is reached.
    • Loot: This method can drop weapons with useful fodder value.

Supplementary Information

The transcript also covered other topics briefly:

  • Fire Resource Farming Locations: White Horse Post and Red Dragon Hall are efficient routes for gathering fire resources.
  • New World Boss: Located at Kaifeng North Gate on the martial arts competition stage. The boss is Feng Ruzhi.
  • Arsenal Attribute Selection (for Umbrella/Spear Build): Choose "Thousand Threads Jade" (Qiansi Yu) over "Bright Essence Attraction" (Mingjing). This is because a significant portion of your damage comes from umbrella skills and special attacks, which benefit more from the Qiansi Jade multiplier.
  • Equipment Tuning: Save your Tuning Stones for when you acquire golden (high-tier) level 61 equipment. Do not waste them on lower-tier gear.
  • Exploration Point: A fun cave to explore is located near a large tree, containing a treasure chest.
