• Shadow Strategy: Located next to Qinghefang. Reaching the benefit points will reward you with 2 manuals. ``
• Beginner Season Activities: Complete the objectives within the season's beginner activities to claim rewards, which include 16 regular technique manuals and 5 famous technique manuals. ``

2. Merchant Purchases

• Weiyang City Merchant (Bottom Right of Kaifeng): Sells 140 manuals. It is recommended to only buy gold-quality manuals and the specific purple ones you need. ``
• Zhao Feiyan's Bookstore (Above Kaifeng City):
  1. The first time you enter, you will be kicked out. ``
  2. During the daytime, talk to Sun Sheng on the left side of the entrance, give him 20,000, and you will gain access. ``
  3. Climb to the second floor to see Zhao Feiyan. You can buy the "Empress's Voice" for 20 manuals. ``
  4. Note: These are random and expensive. Only consider purchasing if you have a lot of Tongbao. ``

3. Character Favor (Chefs & Chess Players)

• Chefs: Found in various locations. Talk to them, purchase one regular dish, then buy their "private dishes" to quickly increase favor. When their favor is full, you can receive 2 technique manuals. ``
• Chess Players: The principle is the same as chefs. When their favor is full, you receive technique manuals. ``
  • While some guides suggest losing to them quickly, it can be time-consuming. If you can win, do so, as you will also collect chess manuals.
  • There are currently 11 chess players, offering a total of 22 technique manuals. ``

4. School Challenges

Access this via the Improvement Guide on the right side of the character interface, then select School Guidance. ``

• Individual School Challenges: Completing each school's challenge rewards 10 technique manuals, for a total of 60. ``
• All-Schools Challenge: After completing the individual challenges, this becomes available and rewards 140 manuals. ``
• Total from Challenges: 200 manuals. Note: These challenges are relatively difficult. ``

5. Mental Energy & Instance Clears

• Natural Recovery: Mental Energy recovers 1 point every 9 minutes (roughly 160 per day). Based on gameplay conversion, this is equivalent to about 8 technique manuals daily. ``
• Instance Priorities:
  • Focus on clearing strongholds first. ``
  • Remember to clear the Restricted Area, which rewards 5 manuals per clear (estimated 20 in the current version). ``
  • Clear other instances for first-time completion rewards.

6. Event Modes

• Suppression, Endless Iron, Prison Suppression: These events consume Mental Energy and reward technique manuals. Note that daily clears have reward limits. ``
• Past Challenges: Located at the bottom of the event interface. First-time clears reward 3 manuals each, for a total of 24. ``

7. Jianghu Journey & Leisure Activities

In the Jianghu Journey leisure cooperation area:

• Participate in the Fireworks Party and Floating Well Boat Ride for chances to obtain technique manuals. ``
• After the fireworks, go to the street surface in the top right of the leisure area to claim rewards. ``

8. Stores & Exchange

• Season Store: Use the Ink Jade obtained daily to exchange for up to 40 technique manuals per week. ``
• Combat Cultivation Store: You can purchase manuals here using Tongbao. ``
• Appearance Exchange: Don't forget to check the Rainbow Attire Voice section. ``

9. Technique Manual Recycling & Exchange (CRITICAL)

Access this via the Replacement function in the technique interface. ``

• Recycling: You can recycle manuals from techniques you don't use to obtain Rare Book Tickets. ``
  • Recommendation: Initially, focus on steadily improving 4 commonly used techniques. Be careful not to recycle the wrong ones. ``
• Exchange: Use Rare Book Tickets to exchange for the school-specific technique you want. The available stock is randomly generated. ``
  • This is a swap concept. For example, swapping "Nameless Technique" for "Sword Intent Balance" exchanges their respective chapters (e.g., 8 chapters for 11 chapters). ``
  • Key Rules:
    1. Some chapters are "frozen" (bound) and cannot be converted (e.g., from school objectives, first clears, some merchant buys). ``
    2. You can only swap same-color manuals (Gold for Gold, Purple for Purple). ``
    3. School and Universal techniques (identified by their icons) cannot be exchanged for each other. ``
    4. Each manual can only be converted once every 7 days. You get 4 free swaps per season initially (increasing to 8 later). Additional swaps cost 1000 Tongbao Jade each. ``
• Overall Strategy: Regularly recycle unused manuals and use the exchange. Concentrate all resources on your 4 main techniques. When you want to change schools, swap those 4 for another set of 4. ``

10. Final Tips & Summary

• Focus Investment: Invest all resources into leveling the same set of techniques. Do not spread your cultivation resources too thinly. ``
• Core Loop: The simplest path to improvement is to consume Mental Energy regularly, recycle unused manuals, and use the replacement system to target the manuals you need. Repeat this cycle. ``
• School Change: When you decide to change your main school in the future, use the Technique Conversion function to swap your invested techniques for new ones. ``
